The Ruby Mountain Symphony is holding a songwriting contest in conjunction with its “East Meets West “concert on November 21, 2009.  This concert will feature country western recording artist, Lacy J. Dalton and dancers from Perpetual Motion Dance Academy.

Songwriters are invited to submit a CD or cassette recording of an original song, not to exceed five minutes.     

Include a written copy of the lyrics.

The top five finalists will have their entries sent to Lacy J. Dalton to choose the winner.

The winner will perform the composition at the Ruby Mountain Symphony concert, “East Meets West “on November 21, 2009 at the Elko Convention Center.

Deadline for entries is  November 10, 2009.
